Preamble

This is   callsign   calling to order the St. Lawrence County Emergency Net for   day      date  . This net meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time for the purpose of conducting emergency drills, tests, and training. This net will be held on repeater KA2JXI, 146.925 MHz, [Note: the Russell repeater] unless notified otherwise by the RACES/ARES Net Manager.

Everyone is welcome to check-in. The call up procedure will be in the following order:

  1. Any station holding emergency or priority traffic.
  2. Mobile, portable, or low-power stations.
  3. Other station by area 1 thru 5.

When you check in, please use the following format:

The pro-word "over" means you are expecting a reply, in this case acknowledgement of your check-in. The pro-word "out" means you are not expecting a reply. You should never use the two words together.

  • Ask for relays, especially on a simplex net.
  • Include signal reports when on a simplex net from the EOC.
  • For mobile and portable check-ins, include the Area in parenthesis following the callsign.
